I am officially in my 30's!! Can you believe it? It seems like time is flying by but going so slowly at the same time. The countdown I think can officially begin. 10 more weeks! Wow!
Our baby girl is about 3 lbs, 15 inches and about the size of a large cabbage this week.
Kris' awesome parents bought us a crib and mattress that Kris and his dad put together on Sunday. It was fun to watch them work together and get a little frustrated with the directions. Something I love about Kris is that he always has a good attitude even when he is frustrated. Something I can surly work on.
Seeing that crib in her room every time I walk by is a little surreal! Thinking about a little baby (OUR BABY) soon lying in that crib makes my heart warm and then makes me crazy nervous! How am I every going to be able to take care of a little baby? I would say inadequacy is the correct word.

Have you ever gone 9 months without getting sick? I thought I was going too. I did not have a non-pregnancy related sickness since before I got pregnant...until this weekend. I felt a little tickle in my throat on Saturday and felt a little "off". Sunday night my comfort level was much lower than usual and I kept waking up just lying in bed wide awake. Monday morning when my alarm went off I felt like I was hit by a train. I stayed home from work and tried my best to sleep. Sleep. Ha...almost laughable. My nose is stuffy, my throat hurts, my lips are chapped, my head is throbbing and every muscle aches. Then when I go to lay down my good friend, heartburn makes an appearance. I took a lot of baths to try and sooth my heavy achy muscles. It seems to help for a while.
Kris brought me home flowers last night to make me feel better and made a very yummy dinner. It was such a surprise and made me feel so good. Poor thing also slept in the other bedroom. He doesn't want to get sick, understandably. He kept coming in the middle of the night to check on me and make sure I was OK and didn't need anything. He is going to be such an amazing dad and care-taker! Baby girl and I are so lucky!
I got up this morning and got ready for work and just couldn't walk out the door. It was hard to even walk I felt so terrible. So, I stayed home again today. I really really hope I feel better tomorrow. Kris' sister and kids are coming into town tonight and Friday night BFF, Ashlee will be here for my baby shower on Sunday! Too much to do to be sick! I am so excited for the shower! I wish everyone could be there..but I know they would if they could!
My heartburn has been especially bad the last few days. I don't know how many more Tums I can handle. I might call the Dr. to see if there is anything else they can give me. I don't want to seem like a wuss, but seriously it is so painful and when I am constantly waking up every hour to take Tums it has taken it's toll on me.
Also...I feel huge. I feel huge when I try and sleep. There is now no comfortable position. I mean, this seriously can't be happening! I still have 2 months to go! How am I going to do this? I am trying to be optimistic and maybe after I feel better and get this heartburn under control I will sleep better. Maybe?!
I am now going to the Dr.'s every other week until the last month of pregnancy and I will go every week. Last week my belly was measuring a little big (for the second time in a row) so we will be getting another ultrasound to make sure that everything looks good in there for baby girl! Our Dr. said not to worry, but she just wants to make sure! We are excited to see more pictures of the baby here in the next few weeks!
I have had a few Braxton Hicks contractions too. Dr. said that is totally normal and a sign that everything is moving along healthy. It is so crazy to think that my body is slowly getting ready to deliver this child. The miracle of pregnancy is beyond amazing.
Phew...are you still reading?? If you are...my apologies!
