Family Pictures. Dec 27, 2011
I just love Kris' hair in this one. And the baby's expression. This was the night I finally got Kris' a wedding band. It was the day before Christmas Eve and we were opening gifts with his family before heading to California. I cried before he even opened the box.
Sometime in November. There were Christmas lights behind us. Never woulda' known.
Hmm.....I am thinking this was in April maybe? I don't know. Regardless, it was at a restaurant for Butch and Dee's anniversary. I suppose I should know at least the month then, huh? I am a horrible daughter-in-law.
Oh, dear memory you are failing me fast. This was a few months ago but I honestly can't even seem to remember the month. It was before my brothers wedding...soooo maybe the end of March? This is my dear friend Traci with whom I have known since childhood. I'm talkin' primary days. It was at her wedding reception, if you couldn't tell by the white dress.
This was us PRE-baby. Don't we look so put together and well rested? If you look close at Kris' right eye you will see is darker. That's because he had a black eye. He broke his nose about a week or two before my company Christmas party back in 2010.
All the pictures on this blog are of our baby girl. Of course, she is the reason for the title of it and all, "The Lloyd Surprise". And, she is only the total center of our universe.
But, I sometimes wonder if all three people the read my blog think...do they take pictures of anything else? And, the answer is "No, not really"
But, I DIGGED through the archives to find some pictures of little sis's parents.
A nutritious lunch: cherry tomatoes, blue berries (her new fav), pickles, turkey, olives, peach puffs and water.
She ate every single bit of it.
Her first order from the "Kid's Menu" at a restaurant. Spaghetti! She couldn't get enough of it. She loved to slurp it down. You know what I mean? When the noodle is hanging out of your mouth a little and you just kinda, just, suck it in? Ya, she did that.
This girl loves FOOD.
It's been so hot 'round these parts lately. So, we installed a super expensive pool for the baby.
We are such good parents.
You see, when she was born her bottom eyelashes were grown up instead of out. So, they were constantly touching her eyeball. Did that just make you cringe?
Anyway, her left eye finally grew out of it but her right eye still continues to be weepy and goopy in the mornings occasionally. So, we decided it was probably time to take her in. The doctor wasn't too concerned but said that it looks like it isn't her eye lashes that are bothering her but instead a clogged tear duct. Her eye lashes are apparently too fine to do any damage to her eye just yet. But, referred us to a pediatric opthamologist to check everything out.
Avery didn't seem to mind her check up so much. She smiled at her doctor and ripped the paper on the table to shreds.
We will keep you updated about her beautiful little eye.
Oh, and she weighed in at 23 pounds. 95% percentile. Is it a double negative to do the % sign and say percentile?
Please take note of her adorable red shoes. She always dresses so festive!
Take me to the FIREWORKS!
As you can see our little girl thought the fireworks were awesome! She jumped a few times at the loud ones, but didn't cry or seem scared at all. So brave.
Happy Birthday, America!
