There have been a few things on my mind today.
1. I feel SO lazy when I get home from work during the week. I want to do absolutely nothing but sit my big fat butt on the couch. This in turn makes me feel pathetic because there is always something I could be doing. Like...making dinner for Kris. I made dinner exactly once this week. Sigh...
2. I have to remember I am almost 8 months pregnant. I can't be super woman. I have been working over-time every week because work is so busy...and I should give myself some slack. If I don't get to the laundry until Sunday, so be it.
3. I have such great hopes of how our lives will be in the future. But, I really need to focus on how great we have it right now. We are so blessed and I really need to live in the NOW. Live up the quiet semi-simple life we are living 'cuz it's about to change here real fast.
4. Kris is my soul mate. He is so wonderful and I don't know if I mention it enough. He is my best friend and I can't imagine my life without him. Today I noticed some newly developed stretch marks. My stretch marks have been a bit of a depressor for me and to make me feel better he just tells me how beautiful I am (pshh) and someday they will fade away. He even "pretends" he can't even see them. He is a good man who works so hard for our future little family. I don't give him enough credit. I love him more and more every day.
5. Am I ready to push out a baby? Yep...I am ready!
6. Ahhhh...there is so much to do before she comes! Will we be ready? Probably not...but that's ok, right? We will never be totally prepared. Not with my butt still sitting on this couch, we won't!

I think this may be the last time wearing this shirt. I hope people at work can't see a little belly at the bottom!
Here is the chair we got for baby girl's room. I know...it's kinda like a grandma chair, but I love it!
Hopefully, my vision will become a reality and after you see the finished product you will love the chair too. I like to "THINK" I am creative and have an eye for style, but I could be wrong. This could end up being a disaster.
Lemme' tell ya somethin! We actually did something productive for the baby's nursery this weekend!
We got a rocking chair (I forgot to take a picture but will do that soon). It was a great find at a garage sale. Only $15! It goes along well with my vintage/NON-BABY feel. Ya know what I mean by non-baby? I want my little girl's room to be able to grow up with her a little. If we put tons of little baby stuff in there she (ME) will hate it in two years.
We got a dresser/changing table. She now has TWO dressers in her room to accommodate all her stuff.
I am excited to get to work on this dresser and make it special and unique. I am still trying to figure out what color to paint it. And, of course it needs new hardware and some extra love. It's been through a lot.
Kris' parents went all out again and got me a breast pump. They are lifesavers. Who knew I would be so dang excited over a breast pump?! I mean...come on! They are NOT cheap it is such an investment in our baby's health. When I go back to work, I will need to pump to keep her milk supply available while I am gone. It already breaks my heart to think about leaving her all day.
Kris got a new car!
Kidding!!!! But...this is his dream car. I saw it in a parking lot at lunch and had to take a picture for him.
Someday hunny. Someday.
So, here we are. 35 weeks. Only > 40 < more days! OMG. Baby girl is nearly 5 pounds and about 18 inches long. About the size of a cantaloupe. Her lungs are continuing to mature & she is building her fat storage. 'Atta girl.

My belly has gotten big. And by big, I mean...huge. Giant. Monstrous. Massive. Jumbo. Whopping.
As a direct result of this, I have stomach tissue literally stretched to it's max. It does not want to go any further.
At first I thought it was just skin stretching and burning. However, at my doctors appointment yesterday when I asked about it, she informed me that there was no relief. It is simply muscle and tissue stretched to it's max. SUPER!
Let me show you where the constant burning is.
It feels like a REALLY bad sunburn.
Our poor baby. If she gets any artistic talent it will NOT come from me! The above drawing is on the verge of embarrassing how pathetic it is! Ha!
On a semi-happier note: we get another ulrasound on the 30th! My aforementioned large belly is measuring 2-3 centimeters big (see, I'm not exaggerating it's size) so they are going to make sure that the fluid, placenta and baby are growing properly.
The Dr. isn't too concerned but just wants to make sure! She is a fantastic Doctor and I trust her completly. She also asked Kris again how much he weighed at birth. He was 8 pounds 1 ounce (same as me!). She responded..."well, we might just have an 8 pound baby at delivery then *giggle*". I laughed, but it was a fake laugh.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH 8 POUNDS WEIGHS??
I somehow can't take a decent picture these days.
I blame it on my new body mass. It just isn't flattering on me. (the extra weight...not my daughter!)
I can't believe we have only 7 more weeks to go (maybe sooner, cross fingers). Seems like it's right around the corner, doesn't it?! My back would have to disagree though. It feels like the next 7 weeks will dragggggg out and seem like a year in prison. While being tortured.
Of course all I can think about these days is holding my little baby....and being skinny again. I am obsessed with it. I think to myself all the time how wonderful it will be to be able to put on jeans with a freakin button. Or how sexy I will feel being able to wear heels again. I don't remember sexy.
I am not huge a huge fan of working out but I have had a good 9 months to prep myself for the hardest workouts of my short 25 years! And, I am going to do it. I promised myself (and Kris, that poor unconditionally loving man ) that I would loose all this baby weight and MORE within 7 months of having baby girl.
Ahhhh, I sure hope breastfeeding does the trick because thinking about running on a treadmill makes me want to eat cookies.

We all wear things and then look back at pictures and thing "hmm...maybe not the best idea." And, this is the case with the red dress I wore for the baby shower. I honestly think it looked better in person, but that could be my conscious just trying to make myself feel better.
Oh well...
I am so happy to have a picture of everyone that came!
I am so blessed to have all these amazing women in my life.
